1. Do you watch sports? If so, which ones?
Uh, I like basketball. I like football too, but I don't get passionate about it.
My problem with watching sports is whenever I have a team that starts doing well I get really invested and am crushed when they lose in the last 30 seconds of the final quarter of the 7th game or know what I'm saying? Then I get GRUMPY.
NO, WORSE! Rooting for a team that obviously getting killed in a room full of people who are rooting for the guys that are clobbering YOURS. Major suckage.)
2. What/who are your favorite sports teams and/or favorite athletes?
Used to be a big Jazz fan, but again with the going to the finals two years in a row only to lose in the very end, plus now Stock and Karl are gone, so you know, they suck and yes I'm a fair weather fan. Where is the fun in rooting for a team that perpetually loses? And when they do well, I get too consumed.
3. Are there any sports you hate?
Hate is a strong word. I like playing baseball better than watching it, but the mind is willing but the flesh is weak. (ie: Jett + Athletics=Big Laugh for everyone BUT Jett."
4. Have you ever been to a sports event?
Shore. Got to go for a few Jazz games. Big Fun.
5. Do/did you play any sports (in school or other)? How long did you play?
But I was IN a play.
I was actually going to run track my senior year but wound up getting the lead in the school play.
Hmmm...let's contemplate. Hot, sweaty, humiliation, LAST vs fun, laughter, stage, school adulation, brag story for when I get old about how I was not completely pathetic in high school. We might have to flip for that.
Actually my coordination has significantly improved SINCE high school (not saying I move like a gazelle,) to the point that I've thought about maybe finding some sports team thingie to join. "For people who sucked at sports in high school but now want to give it another go."
Plus, this summer, for a freak moment where the planets alligned, I hit a groove and actually managed to knock not a small number of softballs clear into left field. It was very surreal since 30 seconds before I was hitting my "I hate to show to the world my complete physical ineptness."
I like biking though. 45 miles done in a day is my record, which is NOT The Google Guy, but pretty awesome for ME.
