"Sing to the Dear Leader" or "Creeeeeepy!"

I find this really, really disturbing.

I also call Shenanigans on this as "grass roots" since Jeff Zucker and a bunch of other Hollywoodies were involved in the making of it.

Seriously? *Seriously?!*

Can you *imagine* the flipping out if it was a bunch of kids singing praises upon McCain? Heads would esplode!

actually IIRC there was some big hooplah not too long ago over something almost exactly like this. only "Obama" was replaced with "Jesus".

(btw i friended you over at the McCain_Palin friend thread and got called into a meeting before i could introduce myself there. sorry! hope you don't mind!)

Oh, I dunno. The belligerence of the crowds when John Rich sings "Raising McCain" creeps me out just as much.

I think there's a difference between people acting exuberant at a concert vs programming a song into a bunch of oh so adorable kids (look! Fake sign language!) about how how wonderful the world will be when Obama heals the world, taping it with Hollywood production values...and sending it out to the blogosphere pretending it's "grass roots."

C'mon. Really? You're equating the two?

No, I'm saying that I find the aggressive, almost violent belligerence of the song and the people who sing along with it more creepy than watching a bunch of kids.

My own children have been to school and have dealt with peers telling them "If Obama gets into office he's going to torture all Christians" and "If Obama gets into office, he'll make us all pray to Mecca."

Most lefties don't seem to harbor persecution fantasies, either as victim or perpetrator. When I heard "Raising McCain," it made my skin crawl.

Whatever happens this election, I hope for the resurrection of a Decent Right, one I can embrace without embarassment.

reminiscent of Hitler-Jugend

I wonder what these kids would say in oh, ten years or so if they were shown this video.

Well... they haven't seen the inside of a church unless it's on a set. They don't know that songs for the messiah are supposed to be about Jesus... not Obama. I hear friends on the left talk about how religion is brainwashing children all the time, so I find this highly hypocritical.

That's not at all american sign language.

The rounds were awkward too.

But kudos for organizing skills.

Though not american sign language, could be some asian culture signs since teacher looks to be asian descent.

Item 1. This gave me goosebumps. But not the good kind.

Item 2. Practice practice practice.

Item 3. I know children are children but obviously this was meant to show nationwide and not just at some boring party where you are forced to watch a slide show of your neighbor's latest RV adventure. Find a comb. Use it!

Yeah, no kidding. Anyone remember the children's song from Cabaret?

Such a great song. So utterly, utterly creepy!

I'm having flashbacks to Tad during Obama's acceptance speech. "Dear Uncle Stalin, please give us more candy!"

You think there's only one Jeff Zucker in the world? Or do you have any other proof?
