On the other hand, it was really cool seeing Berke Breathed's stuff at the tail end. Totally recognized it and made a few bets with my coworkers who didn't believe me when I recognized his style. (How can you miss it?!) We sat through the credits and sho' nuff, it was him. Made me miss Bloom County. Le sigh.
Went to sleep at 6:30 and was up again at 9:00. I've got a nice long crash planned for Sunday afternoon, so I can bull through this now. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming...
Anyway, I just got back from my recording session. It turned out to not be horrible. Not that I was expecting it to be. It really didn't take too many takes and she picked up quickly on what I was going for. I'm really excited how it came out. She's got a fabulous reading voice and we get along really well for an hour every 5 or 6 months. As long as you know your limits. I was deeply amused at how I was introduced, but that is neither here nor there.
What is HERE is 12 minutes of audio I get to wade through finding the perfect clips and then start syncing it up. This is the fun part.
