What a great editing job...and I never thought ANY footage from Superman III could be effective...yet this guy throws it in and makes it work.

Christopher Reeve was a beautiful, beautiful man.

He was indeed beautiful; and a damn good actor.

Now I have to dig out my Superman DVD and watch it....

that's a good idea. Have you heard about the rework of Superman II underway? I am seriously more excited about that than Superman Returns.

I had not heard about that! But I looked it up after reading your comment and it sounds promising :-)

One of my fav CR quotes about playing Superman was him saying he realized that most of the time he just needed to stand there and let the suit do all of the work. Anything else would have been overacting.

His Clark Kent is brilliant... *brilliant* though. I remember once Ebert saying that if there had been another slot for Best Actor in 78 Christopher Reeve would've been in it. Talk about a PERFORMANCE.

Everyone has always talked about how silly it was that Superman puts on a pair of glasses as a disguise...but CR really pulled it off. Lookit how in Superman II all he had to do was straighten up and BOOM...suddenly Superman was in the room.

...goes off to swoon some more.

What a great quote (the CR one)! And I love Ebert; the only (or maybe it's one of two now, I don't know) movie critic to get a Pulitzer.

That was beautimous. I don't think I could have edited that beter if I had done it myself.

That he was. It was a great editing job. I assume all of the Superman movies are available on DVD?

Superman III was THE scariest movie from my childhood...which is odd when you consider all of the horror movies my cousins took me to in elementary school.

The part where the women gets trapped in the super computer...Yiiih. Scary.
