"Fan mail" or "Bua ha ha ha!"

Check out this letter (printed exactly as received. I'm withholding his name but I think he's a LOTRs fan.):

___________

Hi Mr. Attwood

I just would like to take a quick second to thank you for taking the time to do a BSG related comic strip. I have enjoyed it thus far.

Just so you get an idea of who one of your readers are, my personal favorite comic strips would be Penny Arcade (who isn't these days?) VGcats, and Bunny. Maybe a little Clone Mange on the side.

And just a few recommendations that you are in no way obligated to adhere to. Please try to minimize the use of other Sci Fi shows to draw a parallel. A few here and there would be funny, but probably wouldn't be as enjoyable if every comic featured Captain Picard.

Second... I'd love to see a comic involving someone being flushed out an airlock.

Finally, I know it's in bad taste but I'd love to see a comic that involves James Olmos Freaking out that his son is a Brit.

Because, I find the idea of a Mexican having a British son hilarious.

I thought Picard was British? (Oh, that felt good to write.)

Also, airlock humor = comedy gold. "This ain't no way for a man to die!"

Mr. Stewart is British, but Picard is French.

OBVIOUSLY, as a boy, his English teacher was a Briton.

Really, there is no other explanation.

While we're on the subject of demands made by readers, I would like to see more T&A in Red Sparrow! Oh wait, nevermind.

You know how every once in a while, a couple Doonesbury characters read fan mail?

The strip is still kinda young for it, but if I were you I'd plan on an installment as soon as it feels appropriate. ;)

I really shouldn't be surprised at the letters webcartoonists get, after all I've read on SomPos. But...wow. Yeah. Brilliant start and EVERYTHING.
