Not at all! When it was announced that New Haven was getting one I did an excited Snoopy dance. :) I'm *so* happy to have one literally 10 minutes away.

Not at all! I've never been to an IKEA and I'd be thrilled to finally get to go. Cheap furniture!

(hey, random question: how do you bind your sketchbooks? I really want to make a book for someone for Christmas, but I can't quite figure out how...)

Oh, I'm so happy to hear someone else has never been to IKEA! :-) I was beginning to think I was the only one.

There's not one in Knoxville, although Atlanta just got one. I've yet to go to it though.

(There aren't any of them in the whole state of Utah? Where will this one be in relation to you?)

hmmm... tricky to explain...

There are a variety of methods... but here's a fairly decent tutorial...

OR... you could try the coptic stitch... (which I will hopefully be learning this weekend!)

Only if it's tacky that I'm jealous because there isn't one anywhere even close to me!

Wow, I had no idea Ikea's were such a big deal. they're pretty much like every other retail furniture outlet, y'know :P

oh, no, you're not. When I lived in WI I drove 90 minutes or 4 hours (depending on who I was visiting) for IKEA. I'm just sad it's gonna take so long to get it up and running.

A couple years ago, the owner of IKEA briefly passed Bill Gates for richest person in the world. It was mostly due to the weak dollar at the time, but still, he's quite wealthy.

Wow! Congratulations! I guess I always took Ikea for granted. We've had one in Edmonton ever since I can remember. Does Canada have more Ikea's than the U.S. in general, or am I just lucky?
