Much scenery is chewed, except for some slight facial hair there is no physical difference between Orlando (aren't I pretty) Bloom and Kiera (I KNOW I look like Natalie Portman, I played a Queen Amidala double,) Knightly.
The effects were cool. THE FIRST time!!! By the end it's like, "Lookit, we know they're scary and can be see for their true selves in the moonlight (and man, how many full moons are going to BE in this movie?!) and can't be killed...get ON with it man!"
And while Pirate Speak is fun to do as a kid...to listen to it for 2.5 hours gets really REALLY tiring.
Since I had no expectations whatsoever for this flick, I wasn't too disappointed...but I went home with a pounding headache. I'm 95% positive they used Gladiator as a temp track and the musican couldn't get the director off it. The music is a bombastic VERY weak retread of the Gladiator score. POUND POUND POUND!
