I read this on bellezzarubata 's lj who said:

Yesterday on TV I heard psychiatrist say that what you have hanging
over your bed is the one object in your home that best represents you,
that's the most personal."

I'm not sure if I should be amused or creeped out. I have an empty picture frame hanging over my bed.

Taking it in a bad way doesn't sound good. I'd take it as being open or the unattractiveness of being pigeonholed. : )

I have nothing hanging, but I DO have an antique travel typewriter on my headboard.... Does that count?

I haven't anything over my bed now. Though traditionally, it's a mugshot of Frank Sinatra.

...I wonder what that says about me?

I just have a couple of sconces over mine.

What does it mean when you share the headboard? Should we divide it in half and Michael can put his own art over his half?

I have nothing... so which is worse... nothing or an empty frame? At least... psychologically speaking, you have the HOPE of filling the frame with art. Me... I guess i don't even have that.

Put something over my bed? Give the cats more ammunition? No way! There is nothing over my bed... what does that say... :)

For awhile I had a plant in the window sill that is over one part of the bed but the cats nearly conked me with it one morning. It was quite a rude awakening having a heavy ceramic pot land inches from my head and waking up to dirt all over.

They busted a lamp that I had on the bedstand, as well as knocking it onto me. and the radio alarm has been pushed into the bed too. (Though that is near the foot end, not nearly as lethal.)

What I have hanging over my bed?

Absolutely nothing.

A blank wall, not even a headboard.

I keep meaning to get around to putting something there...

I could tell you what is over my bed, but I'm more curious to know why you put up a blank picture frame - is it an art statement?

Hmm. I rearranged my room, so now my big Canadian flag and my picture of the T.O. temple are hanging over my bed. I guess I'm a big ol' Mormon patriot or something. My B.A. degree is also on the wall nearby. So now I'm a pretentious Mormon patriot. :)

I have a Stargate poster (framed, of course) hanging over my bed. I suppose it means I'm a geek (heck yeah! and proud of it!) and I obsess easily.

I would definitely find something good about it, rather than dwell on what negative things it could mean. I think it means you're an open mind and open to possibilities.

I have a quilt hanging with Scott's and my name embroidered on it and our wedding date. I put it there because it was the only place it matched, but I guess it could say things about me.

hmmm... I have a fold out futon type dealie... so I sleep with my hea in the middle of the room. There's no wall, no headboard... nothing. I think that's a good thing. Like your empty frame that will probably never be filled becase you will never stop creating.

I had a picture of Christ walking on the water at my last place, and since I just moved and am on the top bunk, there happens to be shelves that high and are over my head. On the shelves I place my scriptures and journal. Hmm. . .
