The cherry on top is that he has been missing for at least 4 hours. We are searching high and low in the studio, but so far no Beowulf. If I hadn't just talked to the vet I would be aggravated. Now I am worried sick.

He's probably holed up for some peace and sleep, but I totally understand being worried, what with the health stuff. Hope he shows up soon!

No kidding. We are coming in on hour FIVE. I understanding wanting some peace and quiet...but he's not in ANY of his usual haunts and we've pretty much torn the place apart looking for him. Nary a small "mew" !

!!!

Could he have gotten out?

Here are places my cats have surprised me: sleeping behind pots and pans in kitchen cabinets, getting locked in closets, underneath furniture I'd have sworn didn't have room, behind the tv, inside a duffle bag, inside boxes with closed lids (when the four cardboard flaps are slipped over and under each other to form a lid). Maybe these will help?
