The No Joke Update

Well, I'm riding herd at la chez Dunford and all things considered we passed a most pleasant evening. S and O and H were well behaved and drew cards for their mom who spent the evening in the hospital with the doctors monitering her blood pressure. It is good that I have spent so many evenings here because I know the evening routine down cold and there wasn't any playing around to see what they could get away with.

I stayed up late and watched the expanded edition of Return of the King. I probably shouldn't have gotten so engrossed when I was as tired as I was but It was interesting to see how well it fleshed out the story in some places and where it felt bloated in others. Bill got home rather late and looking rather tired but told me there was no change.

This morning they are taking her to the other hospital and attemption a version...which I guess means they get big time serious about getting iBaby into the right position and (more than likely) induce labor. If iBaby is resistant...they are going to have to do a C section. Anyway, it looks more and more likely iBaby will be making her appearance in the world today. It still feels very unreal to me.

It should be an interesting day at anyrate. I am waiting for a phone call from Bill to tell me the plan...whether or not I am staying here until their Grandma Dunford arrives or if I am taking them north to her house. Who knows what will happen.

Big hug to you too, for being an awesome aunt and sister. Hope you're doing well too, but from your post it sounds like it.

ROTK-Ex is an excellent expansion of the themes, but it is a long movie. I rarely even bother opening up the box anymore on a week-night, because I find myself watching the whole thing no matter how tired I am or how desperately I need sleep for the morrow.

Here's hoping that everybody enjoys health and safety this day.
