Long story short.  I wasn't sure if my stuff for the con even got hung up...but it looks like  it DID!  Thank you crazed fan who took a bazillion pictures!

Lookit!  Lookit!  (and could my stuff BE anymore obviously MINE?)

Yep, it was there, and it looked great!

I noticed, though, that your e-mail to Creation giving them your minimum bids was right there--and that they'd totally ignored your prices. Most starting bids were set at about half what you'd requested. I don't know how the bidding ended up--they closed the art room early on Sunday--but if it's not to your liking, that may have something to do with it. Just thought you might want to know.

Okaaaay. Now, I know I can hate Creation more...I never have really had a beef with them before this...but HOLY COW I HAVE BEEN TREATED SHABBILY.

(It's not just the price thing...that's just the cherry on top.)

At least they got put up.

And dude...they posted up my EMAIL? What on earth was that hanging fee for if they can't even make stuff like that look nice?!

Yeah. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that really bothered me. I pointed it out to Kym, who was likewise disgusted. We thought maybe we'd misunderstood, but knowing Creation, I don't think so.

I have to say, I've had a low opinion of them for awhile now, but after this Con, it's even lower. I've never seen so many dollar signs. Pure crass commercialism, with fan enjoyment being secondary.

That said, I'm glad you sent in your work. It was DEFINITELY the highlight of the show.

Well thanks. I'm glad you liked it.

Course now I'm thinking if some piece sold for forty bucks, Creation just got 21 of it.

There's no way in hell I'd do an animation cell for 19 bucks!!!

I'll wait and see how much they went for...but I'm tempted to toss a few questions to my dad's lawyer.

Dude, that's fantastic!

(and wowza, some of that art is AMAZING...not just yours, either - because that's always great! *wink*)

I do hope you make some out of all the work you did.

Congratulations! Sorry you didn't get treated as well as you should, but I'm glad you got recognition at least. And it's a great thing for the cv/portfolio, right?
