Hillary Clinton vs Condoleeza Rice
Hillary: Undergrad at Wellesley College and went to Yale for law school. She was on the faculty of the University of Arkansas Law School in 1975.
Condie: Graduated from the University of Denver, cum laude, her master's from the University of Notre Dame in 1975 and her Ph.D. from the Graduate School of International Studies at the University of Denver in 1981.
Advantage: Dude. Which one has a doctorate?
Hillary: At a DNC fundraiser, 29 June 2004 in San Francisco:
"Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you," Clinton said, according to the Associated Press. "We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you.
"We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."
Can't find a quote, but I'm pretty sure it's not THAT.
Advantage: Depends on if you are the taker or the takee.
...and who will vote for whom?
The Black Vote:
Hilary: Well, she IS a Democrat and usually the blacks in the US go well over 90% in that direction.
Condie: Well, she IS A Republican which is usually a hiss and a byword among blacks in America. On the other hand, unlike Hilary, she actually IS BLACK. It would be folly for anyone to try to paint her as a racist bigot.
Advantage: Hard to say. I think it could be the beginning of the breakup of the black voting bloc.
The Gay Vote:
Hilary: Well, there ARE those never ending rumors and anybody that went to Wellesley in the 60s played both sides of the fence. Preferences aside, the gay vote is predominately Democrat.
Advantage: Hands down Hillary
The Military Vote:
Hillary: No way in hell.
Condie: Some guys might have a hard time voting for a SBF, on the other hand but she's definitely pro military, plus there's no way they'll vote for Hillary.
Advantage: Condie all the way.
Hillary: Well, Hillary did stand by her philanderin', lyin', cheatin' husband and pretty much took it. Not quite the feminist creed, y'know?
Condie: She's single, black, educated, successful and has the presidents ear on many key issues. What's not to love?
Advantage: Hillary. Urrrr?!! you say? Oh come on, feminists have proven themselves to put idealogy over personal behavior. Look at the pass they gave Bill Clinton. It doesn't matter that Condie is more of a successful woman than Hillary...Hillary is a Democrat.
Hillary: Well, some of the north eastern Republicans (of say Vermont and other states) might finally have to throw in the towel and lose the Republican title and go along with someone who is more their idealogical matchup.
Condie: She is one who can electrify the party and help shake up the notion of "old, fat, rich, white male party." How on earth can you say that about a party who puts up a single black female for president?
Hillary Well, she ...IS...a Democrat...but a lot of them can't stand her. A lot will depend with what is going on in the world and what the previous 4 years have been like.
Condie: Again, she might be breaker of the black vote.
Advantage: Hillary...but nobody is really happy about it.
And, because I am cheezy:
The actor factor OR Who would play them in a movie:
Hillary: Duh. It's already been done, though she won't admit it. Meryl Streep
Condie: Oh, you know she'd be all over that part. Halle Berry
