The perfect CEO

In the wake of the recently announced news that Eisner fared much, much worse than the 43% that was originally posted, Merlin Jones, a regular on Animation Nation as well as a brilliant essayist on Save Disney wrote this:
The Perfect CEO
By Jane and Michael Banks

We do so want to get on with the new CEO. That's why we wrote this advertisement.

Wanted: CEO for a national institution:

If you want this choice position,
Have a cheery long-term vision.
Invest in rides,
Not sports.

Fund family films,
Avoid the seedy.
Be very shrewd,
But not too greedy.

Seldom make sequels,
Dream new works.
Take risks,
Not perqs.

Never be cross or cruel,
Or micromanage.
Obey the golden rule.
Think legacy and not re-brand-ing,
Don't listen to stra-te-gic plan-ning.

If you won't close down animation,
In adding to your compensation...
We won't write exhaustive lists of all your faults,
Withhold half your votes,
Or compare your work to Walt's.

Hurry, CEO,
Many thanks,

Jane and Michael Banks
